In addition to getting an opportunity to check out everyone's builds first hand, that is part of what is so fun with these proxies! Finishing order can float around based on track design, surface, etc! :)

Speaking of different venues - the transport rolled for New Hampshire today and should arrive at TurboKev's on Wednesday according to USPS. :D

I see I'm still in the bottom of this group. Todd see you got your car with 8/30 in 3rd place. Way to go. Steve watch out we will be coming for you next year.

From the picture my front end is off the track. I wonder if this had an effect. It appears I need to get a better setup block. I've been told by other proxy host some of my cars front ends are having an effect. Checking on Scaley Sport and then having them run on wood tracks of various types is killing me :lol:

Arrold - I think your car is going to like TurboKev's track as I think the banking here is what was giving your car fits. As you can see in the videos, it has good speed, but if you pushed a bit too much it would go from smooth drift to chatter and work at slipping the guide from the slot coming onto the straight. I'm not sure if a little less rear bite, or a little lead up front might not cure that issue?
(Kev may have more insight on this?)

Also, Steve asked me to change up his gearing before the cars rolled out, so his car are now sporting 8-30 gears as well. Should make for some good close racing! :D

Thanks for the update Todd. Hopefully with Steve's cars re-geared I may have a chance. But then I've got to get past you and Strangebrew as well. The pictures are a big help.

This is the first year I have used Paul Gage tires. I sanded mine into the radius where I see most others did not, leaving the contact patch slightly higher. Could this be causing the chatter issue?

Not sure if it is the wider contact patch or possibly the weight balance might be coming into play (or a combo of both). The cars with the more rear weight bias all exhibited more rear bite and were the ones that exhibited chatter if pushed far here.
Whether this was just coincidence or not, I am not sure, but with the amount of rubber/rear grip on these cars, that might be part of it? :think:
It will be interesting to see whether the same thing is noticed at Kev's with the flat corners and different surface. :)
