Colorado or Bust 2015 - RMS Resins

Postby HomeRacingWorld » Mon Jul 20, 2015 6:24 pm

Well, time to get some heaps tuned and cleaned. Most of mine need major work to even think about keeping up with Doc's treasures.

So here is the first round...

Bringing a few roundy-rounders just for the fun of it.

Going to be a FUN trip. Cannot wait.

That's going to be a fun time for sure! Are you sure you are bringing enough cars?

The only sal...sala...ugh can't say it. The only green stuff I want will be what we throw over the burgers :)

We might need more cars though.

Thinking about nice light snacking...nothing heavy to slow us down.

Fried Chicken cornbread cake. Kinda dinner and dessert in one...time saver.

Can't wait to try the jalopies out on the PDR - if they can turn right and left I'll have to make some!

Ya know, I think I could make that work... I just have to work out whether the icing for the cornbread cake is white cheese or sour cream.

Man, I gotta start tuning...!!!

I've been cleaning stuff up and finally go around to something silly that I've been wanting to do for like 5 years, so I did it: fixed up some of the original RMS cars and one fairly recent one:

1970 Camaro: This car has had quite a life: MCR Racing Mag article, a billion miles and it was starting to show it's age. It also ran poorly after all these years. I also hated the chrome minilites and have no idea why I never painted them. So, out came the paint, the cleaners, new PGT shoes and a toothpick. It not only runs much better, but it looks better too!

1970 Firebird: Rode hard, put away wet. Also almost caused me to come to blows with a former member. I seem to recall Rich M calling me to ask if I was ok LOL! Same treatment here.

1963 Falcon Sprint: I love this little car! I'd used SCC/CBB insert wheels and never painted the lip...I know, I'm a total slacker. Out came the paint and a 5 minute spray job was done. MUCH better!

Whew! Caught those in the nick of time before the Boss shows up!
