I Just Heard an AWESOME Rumor - Confirmed!

Earleir today I saw a post about a possible new product coming down the pike from my favorite slot car manufacturer.

Personally I think it will be a very hot seller.

Slot.It will be producing a Chaparral 2F!

The car will be available in early 2014. Maurizio Ferrari has confirmed this product!

Talk about looking forward to a new car coming out!

That's cool to hear. While I've still got my fingers crossed that Slot.It will make a 2D, it's nice to see another Chappy in the pipe.

Wait a minute, a 2014 ship date? :o I guess I'll be waiting a lot longer then for a 2D, if ever...

Unfortunately the 2014 is NOT a typo. I wish it were, but at least there it is on the horizon.

I also hope that Slot.It will make a Chaparral 2D as well.

For some reason, I am getting the feeling that Slot.It might be thinking about expanding it's "Classic" line of cars in the near term future.

A couple of others I would love to see are a Lola T70-MKIIIC, McLaren MK-VIC, Marcos Mantis XP and either a Mirage MK1C or MK2C.

I'd never seen that Marcos Mantis XP before. That is a heck of a design for 1968!

I think that you're right in that Slot.It will end up giving us many more classics down the road. The McLaren 8D should be out this year, correct? I like that they are taking the time to get the cars right instead of just releasing them as fast as they can like others manufacturers sometimes do. <cough>Scalextric<cough>

Yep the Marcos Mantis XP is awesome. Way ahead of it's contemporaries in design.

The Slot.It McLaren M8 is scheduled for late spring / early summer of 2013. I'm looking forward to buying a few of them and doing many of my own liveries.

In the "Classic" section, I already have the Chaparral 2E, #8 Ford GT, Ferrari 312PB, Alfa T33/3 "MotoRadio". At our club, if we put a body on a sidewinder HRS or HRS2 chassis and make it about the same weight, we can run them in the "Classic" category. I have a Fly Porsche 917-10 mounted on my HRS-2 chassis. It is very fast, just like a Slot.It.

There's going to be a lot of great cars coming out in 2013 and I'm looking forward to seeing them.

I would have much rather seen the 2D produced.
MRRC and Scalextric already have a 2F.
