Camaro White Kit Info. Needed

Postby reek455 » Fri Jul 24, 2015 8:42 pm

I'm thinking of purchasing and building a Scalextric 1969 Camaro white kit but before I do need some information on the chrome fuel filler located on the rear deck lid. Is this just an add-on or is there a hole in the trunk lid? I would prefer not to use it but not really interested in having to fill a hole in the trunk. Thanks in advance for any help.

Regards
Rico

Its attached with two pegs that go in two holes in the trunk. They are very small, and it would only take seconds to fill them. Just smear some putty on, let it dry, and sand off the excess. Simple. You could even cut the pegs off and glue them in the holes, then sand smooth.

Like Rob said you will have to puddy or CA glue and baking soda makes a nice plastic filler, I keep a tube of 3M dent and ding filler on the bench
