Little GTO ,Jouef Style

Postby ourwayband » Sun Aug 09, 2015 6:05 am

I've been fascinated by these little jewels ever since Kev started posting some of his collection a while back. While Jouef made many different types, the Ferrari GTO 250 is close to my favorite.Got this one thru e-bay and lucked out as she runs well .Just fun to drive with their superior Guide system.

Very nice looking pair Rusty. :music-rockout:
By the way, that Egger GTO on Ebay is way overpriced. About $150 would be the correct price.
Cheers

Hi Rusty.
Egger were a German model railway company who briefly produced Jouef slot cars under licence.
They do fetch high prices simply because not many were sold.
Same thing goes for Spanish built cars.
An interesting fact about the Egger GTO is that someone bought a batch many years ago and chromed them.
People now mistake them for originals and pay big bucks for them. They are in fact fake!
Cheers.
Kev

PS. Been to post office today, sorry about delay in sending package.

Must be the "goin'est thing around". Remember the Rip Chords? Sung to a different car, but then, the original Pontiac GTO was model named after the Ferrari.

Gran Tourismo Omologato was not exactly a roll-off-your-tongue American phrase..............
