Latest Slot Car 2015

In my recent round of trades in my quest to set up a Scaley digital track, I got a pasalful of Scaley highly resistant cars of the Porsche Boxer and some kind Audi variety. Eight in total, most NIB. They are about as attractive as a box of colored jellybeans rolling around the track. But hey, they are pretty much indestructible, all digital, and should make great digital driver-in-training cars.

WOW what a day. Picked up these gems in Kelowna Mon. aft., a 1 hr. drive.



But wait it gets better.

The gs and I spent 2 1/2 hrs racing on our first wood track.

What an experience, there really is no comparison from wood to plastic. The closest I could get would be peachs to brussel sprouts :lol:

Scalextric has released a new Escort Mk1 in yellow and green, a simple and striking livery that enhances the flowing lines of this pretty little car. Fun to run without magnet and with reduced power. Skinny tires provide sufficient grip to let it slide rather than tip over. I like this one very much.


Next is a Flyslot truck in a fantasy costume. JPS black & gold isn't any of my favorite liveries but it makes for a very cool truck. The black is a matt finish and the trim that comes out a bit dull in the photo is actually a nice bright gold.
