Man That looks sharp! Love the color combo.
The best part is its not the same 500 winner cars you always see. there were so many other entries in every race, that never get mentioned or ink.
Nice job Dave.

That does look sharp, for sure! Nice color combination.

What's going to be under the hood?

Dave, I don't want to hijack your thread, but my entry is something different also. I am building the Mercedes 154, that was bought and remotored to run Indy in 1947-51.The car carried the number 46 if you look it up. Danny Klatis drove the car the last time, and DNF'd. I hope to do better!ImageImageImage

Those cars tend to go very well with a BWA NC1 (BWNC1) motor in IL configuration; tall gearing...................

Isn't that a hoot! Bob beat me to the post and guess what he's running in his build (which, by the way is really nice; both inside and out)............a BWNC1 IL; tallish gearing...............SHEESH!

Woops, flubbed that one.......it's a slim can BWA............. "ears on the back - FF-050, ears on the front - FC-130.......ears on the back - FF-050, ears on the front - FC-130..........ears on the back - FF-050, ears on the front - FC-130....................." I'll get it.............someday............!

Sl-2? Ok, sounds good. Those I can actually buy. SCC still has some as well, I was told they bought the last large batch from MT, so they should have enough for the race.

Harry had shared this with us in another thread.
"
MTSL2 all the way while they last. He won't be restocking once they run out.

BUT let's take a peek at a contender we almost forgot Carrera LINK at Cloverleaf

Remember they installed these in a couple of the Can-Am models, F1 and that wild Xbow. They would give more RPM's but not overdone.
Carrera Slots has them HERE as well.

So does LEB Hobbies HERE."

That's right...I remember :)

And those photos Bob...man, those look great.

Dave...that car is a honey. Really nice. This is just the start of some truly creative modeling I think.
