I am in the same boat, just a few racers and only a few times a year, but I try and stay busy building

They will come Bob, 1 or 2 turns into 6 real fast

The group I race with is 5-6 guys. Even though one member hosts each week, we all have tracks....we don't make the circuit though. He's pretty central and we are all on the spokes from his place, so it's natural for us all to meet there. Even with a solid 5-6 core, there are weeks when we can't make it, or racing is cancelled because only 1-2 of us can make it.
So I have a track, but it's just me most of the time....my grandson and my wife occasionally join. Keep your chin up........something will come around.

I'm a LONELY RACER guy too. I'm 2 1/2 hrs. from Harry's & maybe an hour from Razor Jon's. Only people on my little
bullring are me & grandkids on a rare occasion.
I build 'em, run 'em a couple or 3 hundred laps, put 'em in a box & build another one............................

hey Bob,
been there, went through this myself many years ago, but was lucky enough to get a nice group of guys that enjoy getting together to just run some cars once a week. As far as "where did they all go?" they/we`re dying off my friend. It`s just not out there like when we were young, most now a days get their first/last look at slot cars from paw-paws, or dads that were introduced through there dads. The simple hobbies of yesteryear just don`t hold the attention of the young children, and without that it can only decline. We are lucky every now and again to grab youngster and introduce the hobby, but the chances of that youngin taking it to the next step is slim. Unless a kid goes to a well stocked hobby store, they will never be exposed to 1/32 - 1/24 scale slot cars. As far as retail H.O. and 1/43 scale are the only sets that are in the toy isles now, and that just don`t give a good feel for realism. JMO
Can`t scare us old pharts away, all we can do is keep playin till we can`t.
