They are high rpm no torque motors that have been floating around for years . they also came in an orange endbell.I believe I bought mine from Proffessor motor about 10 years ago at a swap meet- I believe you will find they have very little brakes.

There were two Hot Rod motors from Prof Motor, the orange (hi rpm), and the green (medium rpm), but the green is actually a Kelly green, not like the aqua green in the picture. Both ran great, and I never had a braking problem, but then, I never minded Carrera's lack of brakes when so many people were complaining all the time about it. Prof Motor no longer sells the green endbell motor, but the orange endbell is still going strong. I used a green endbell Hot Rod in my Ferrari for the Ford-Ferrari Proxy coming up. Runs great, stops fine. I will say they both have much improved brakes in the sidewinder config they were intended for. As an inline they are okay, but they really belong in a sidewinder. Put one of those in an old Fly sidewinder and stand back. It will be very satisfying. Too bad they don't make them anymore. I called Andy (Prof Motor), and asked him what the rpm rating was for the green and its 22,000.

There was an Autoart motor that was very similar to the orange, but it was silver all over.
