I haven't bought a set in a long while but will probably buy the stock car legends as I want to see lots more of those.

Nice cars, but from what I hear, be prepared for Sticker Shock !.....a lot of guys won't be buying because of that, and I'm probably one of them :( After-all, you're basically just buying them for the body, as AW T-Jet Chassis are hit and miss, and if it weren't for the Ultra-G Neo magnet, you'd be shocked at how poorly they handle.
Anyway, Nice paint jobs on some really nice Classic Bodies :handgestures-thumbup:

I heard they are going to be around 30 a pop. I can work the chassis and I know I will be putting different wheels and lowering the body as much as possible. I like the looks of all of them except the Ford Fairlane, I never liked the head lights and grill on their version. I can live with the grill but the head light are just so damn wrong.

Hopefully the pricing will come back to earth as it is hard to justify that 25% price hike without any changes in the cars - but DO like the new series! :)

30.00 for a regular Auto World unless it was a new body style I would have to have nope wouldn't do it but for a nice historically accurate Grand National it reasonable.

Nice graphics of historic NASCAR stockers. I remember reading about the Smokey Yunick built '57 Chevy that Paul Goldsmith drove to victory, and got to see the other three cars in races highlighted on the old ABC Wide World of Sports. While today's younger fans know who Richard Petty and maybe Junior Johnson were, most probably have no idea how good and well known Goldsmith and Fred Lorenzen were in their eras.

However, I agree with vabchrog and others about the "Fairlane." body. It has '66 Comet headlights on the so called '67 Fairlane body. In those years Ford used the same car with changes to the front and rear ends to make the "Fairlane" and "Comet" look different. Perhaps there was some confusion when original tooling was made, or the body was purposely supposed to depict either car, and that error has never been corrected.

HOCOC has a class for cars with bodies like that and we also race JL/AW cars without the traction magnets. I found a plain '59 Chevy body for $11.50, by the time I painted and decaled it the body alone would have cost me nearly $20, so a whole car for $30 does not look as bad.

Sneaky Friday...this is a fun day, and this time it's a super-sized sneak. We've got 3 sneaks today! First, let's start with some slot cars. We just received samples of ThunderJet Release 18! People have asked us to release some clean, stock colors. We agreed! Included in this set are:

1958 Plymouth Fury (First time as stock colors)
1959 Chevy Impala
1966 Chevy Nova
1966 Ford Fairlane
1969 AMC AMX
1969 Dodge Charger

This release will have two different colors for each car, plus iWheels versions. Look for these in February 2016. Item# SC314
