Urethane with rubber tires on Artin track

I have just redone my Artin track to fit a new small room. I have been running rubber tires on the track. Being plastic track, I don't get the rubber buildup that routed tracks get, but I do notice that silicone tires can have problems when somebody runs them. I was looking at Paul Gage tires, as some of my cars that really need tires have PGT tires in their size. I was also thinking of casting some urethane tires with Smooth On rubber. Will running both urethane and rubber tires on my track create problems? Will the tires play well together, or will they cause each other to slide all over when alternated. I know we mix them successfully on a couple of wood tracks I have run on, but the Artin track is plastic, and I have heard people claim that urethanes will give me more grief. If it's okay, I will grab some PGT and XPG tires for my Grand Sport 'Vettes and my Dekon Monzas, as well as a few others to try. I usually vacuum the track off with a brush attachment, but I don't scrub or wash the track. Is that the right approach with urethanes too? They tend to be a bit more dusty than regular rubber, IIRC. I haven't really messed with them since Ortmans back in the old days.

You will be fine. I run stock rubber and PG all the time.

if you wish you can use foam too, i tried Hr Wheel, Parma wheels and Pro track and i had surprising result on Artin and on a routed track, as long as the tire are clean

Our group (Naste) also uses a mix of Rubber and Urethane tires. We've never had a problem between the two.

Stock Rubber and Urethane are fine. I only use a swiffer to go over the track, and just vacuum the slots.
Urethane and Silicone dont play well together.
I use the old Carerra Police car with flashing lights and it drags a swifeer with the short handle around.

Yep I picked up the short handled Swiffer. And a small screw in the trunk of the Carrera Police car holds the swiffer loose so it swings side to side.
I drive about 3 laps in each lane making sure I get swing of the swiffer in the curves.
I clean it after each lane, just by shaking it and then go on to the next lane.
It really works great picking up the dust and marbles, but leaves the good rubbered in stuff down.
And the flashing lights look cool too.
