There was only one of those cars in the 1:1 world, but it was repainted a few times. I've read somewhere where the guys who made it did make a few more body kits, but really only one chassis ever raced. It would be a stretch for a larger slot manufacturer to make that car since they'd only be able to pump out the same three liveries that both Racer and Carrera (D124) have already done. (and the D124 cars didn't sell too well) Still, Carrera has made some wacky stuff in the past, so who knows?
When it comes to the Silverline car, you can get it for about $130 shipped from topslotsntrains in the UK. There have been a couple of resin bodies in the past, but unfortunately one maker passed away, and the other is long out of production. I can tell you that the Silverlines are very well made, looking gorgeous and already sporting Slot.it goodies throughout the chassis. They run great out of the box with minimal effort and pretty much no additional expense.
I don't know about you, but I've put $50-$75+ in aftermarket parts in cars before to get them to run well, so spending all that money up front on a car, even if it makes your heart stop momentarily, really can be money well-spent so long as it's on a car that you absolutely must have and can't get elsewhere. Just don't send it flying off your table to smash in to a million pieces on the floor. Trying to set best lap times with Silverlines, LMMs, and full-fledged Racers can often raise the blood-pressure a bit.
