Thanks guys. The only problem i see with it is, I'm not in the drivers seat and with what they cost around here never will be. Just have to make do with our MX5 (Miata)

Beautious! So the chassis, you sliced it, shortened it & glued it back together as one?

'Yes' is the short answer. The longer version is - I stuck it with double sided Tesa tape (good high quality) to a bit of MDF square to the side and cut it with my drop saw. It has a thin kirf tungsten tip blade and I cut slowly. The good thing about it is that even if the cuts aren't square they are parallel. Was meant to be 13mm but slightly overdid it. Next I put a piece of packing tape on the bottom to act like a hinge and glued it together with ca glue holding it in place on a piece of steel with magnets and used toothpicks and JB Weld plastic glue to finish off. Might sound difficult but it's quite easy.
