TGIF

Postby HomeRacingWorld » Fri Jan 15, 2016 10:26 am

Another week in the books and it turned out to be a fun one.

Getting together with friends and just running some cars is about the best thing any of us hope for. That is the FUN part for me and it was a great time.

Next week will be more cleaning up around here to get ready for more good times. We have a newcomer arriving at HRW and sounds like he will fit right into the madness around here.

My building has slowed down, but that usually doesn't stop me from adding to the pile :)

Hope all of you have a safe and fun weekend. Maybe get a chance to just sit back, pull the trigger, and enjoy.

I'm going to try some work this weekend. The wife's mini van broke so I'm going to try and fix it. But the most important stuff is that I have the tires, wheels, and power plants for the Indy cars I'm printing out. Then I hope to complete the RMS Corvair. So it looks like a pretty full weekend for me. And of course I plan on getting in some of that "Pull The Trigger" time also.

Got a bunch of guys coming tomorrow night if the weather isn't too bad. Calling for a couple inches of snow, hopefully it'll be over by noon.

Was hoping to work more on my scratchbuilt modified today, but the wife's shoulder is hurting so having to tend to her a bit. We're hoping it's a pulled muscle, and not something like a rotator cuff. Will be seeing the nurse at work here soon and hopefully learn more.

Still unpacking, replacing things we thought we wouldn't need again  The quicker we get the garage empty the quicker I can get my "dungeon" set up. Raining here (better than snow!) so we'll keep working inside.

Finished the MINI Cooper, and New Beetle. Now working on a Scaley Chaparral 2. It's been sitting around for a long long time. It needs some attention. Applied for a part time job at Rural King working at the gun counter. I could use the extra money. Haven't heard anything yet, but there's always hope. :)

Was hoping to get some serious trigger time in today as well as continue the cleanup, lube and maintenance program on my fleet. But alas, my Mrs. reminded me that our grandson is having "one" of his birthday parties today. So, it's off to Chucky Cheese Pizza for me!

Happy Slotting Saturday to ya'll!

I am spending the weekend getting caught up on slot fun! :D
Hoping that by the end of the day Sunday the clear coat on my Sportsman's car will be dry enough to allow for assembly. :)
Also will be continuing the work on my HO break in / test station (hope to put together some pictures and description to post here for reference for others)
In other words - it is shaping up to be a fun weekend! :D

Worked yesterday and am still thrashing on my Sportsman proxy build. Almost there...then I get to finish my T/A proxy build. Holy smokes... Unlike Shotgun Dave that can crank cars out hour by hour, I'm more like year by year...

Have to meet with our lawyer today to finish updating our Will (sigh, a whole bunch of depressing crap that is, but necessary!) and am taking the fetching Mrs. Reinecke out to see Star Wars (finally!) in 3D.

Have a bunch of orders to finish up and the WW3 erupts in our house tomorrow as the fetching Mrs. Reinecke's Squeelers go down in FLAMES to my Denver Broncos in the AFC Divisional round.
