Midmoslots - The Classic NASCAR?

I don't have any H&R stuff....
I've got bodies motors wheels & tires, but I don't have any manufactured chassies.

Count me in, I'll have to double check on my sons hockey schedule.
Do you guys have a chassis/roller part# that everyone is using, I'd like to get the parts ordered?
Are the bodies/models on the first page the ones we will be using?

Harry posted info for PG tires already. Other than that it is the M/T5 motor that we had planned to use. Harry has some and you could probably swing a deal with him to get one, but I don't want to speak for him. We could also consider using the Parana motor. I think it will be fun no matter what motor we use.

As for a body, any vintage NASCAR model kit will do. I just happen to strike a deal with Harry for the Cyclone. He has on that he has done up and it is stunning. Aside from the fact that I have always loved that body.

I'm doing a Pontiac, but it will be the one in Harry's picture of the kits. The '61 Cotton Owens car is a '61, and it has so much chrome on it its just too delicate. But the '62 in the photo can be done as Fireball Roberts's car, and we like those black and gold paint jobs around here. I have several H&R chassis, and some Pro-Track, so I'm good with anything you say, guys. I unpacked a fresh MT/5 tonight. I'll start digging in the tire box tomorrow. I want to give the P.O. time for the all-Missouri tour bus route...

Brew, looks like you may be driving a lane. I have had several requests to run it as a proxy race. If we can settle on a motor and gear I think we just might do it. I just don't want it to be last minute so folks have time to build them the way they want.

Even if we do I think we should have a second race for the drivers in attendance with the rides they built. Typical round robin kind of thing. One run in each lane for the car and driver, best average finish takes the win.

Also plan on doing a IROC type race with my Whisper Jets. Car stays with the lane and drivers rotate. Best average finish wins.

I still encourage you to bring the awesome rides that you build. We will find whatever we have that will run with then and have some fun. That's how I always discover the next car I just have to add to my collection.

For those of you that have interest in getting involved, I wanted to be sure you knew what you were getting yourself into. So I thought posting some pictures of the track would be a good idea.

At this point I don't think it is a good idea to do an open proxy. I would like to say that I'm sorry, but I just don't think there is enough time for everyone to get cars ready and shipped. If we had the gearing and motor details set in stone already than it may have worked. So I want to say I'm sorry to all of you that are interested.

I have had thoughts of doing a proxy race for 1/24 scale 90's NASCAR on scratch built brass latter in the year. If anyone is interested in that let me know and I will let you know when the plans come together.

I said we had walls on it now. Look at the pileup, you can see the temporary walls. On Saturday I am going to work on putting the real walls up while the weather is warm. Then the track will be almost finished.
