So it looks like the Piranha is going to be the motor what about gear? Leave it open? I only tried the 9/26. The 9 was already on the motor and the 26 was already in the car. It ran well. Low 5.3 to high 5.2 second laps on a dirty track.

At this point leaving it open might be best. It will be fun to run and test. If I come on last, cool. The fun is in the runnin and the people.

She is ok. Car NOT. Bambi certainly isn't. Elusive creatures. I wasn't even wearing my Mossy Oak shirt and still tagged out for the season.

Dang. Cindy liked that little SUV as I remember. You know... Cindy might like a little truck, since she does some woodworking. I sure miss my truck when I have to go buy lumber or plywood. Is she thinking about that?

It makes some fine chilly if you get all the headlight fragments out of the deer's a$$ first. You cant tenderize meat with one of those little hammers like you can with a Buick. I got 3 at one time when we lived in Michigan. The deer were dead on site and the 92' Daytona didn't make it much farther than that.

I will ask Tom tomorrow if he is going to make a trip and if not I will get ya the addy.

The General bought herself a Malibu. Very nice car. The designers got something right as it crumpled where it should. The AC condenser looked like a curled tater chip, not one leak. Drove it home.

I talked to Tom and he is not sure if he is going to make a trip over or not. I should be ok on the motor, as I need to put in another order to SCC for another chassis. Worst case has me doing the Galaxy rather than the cyclone.

I have another entry that is looking for a body and he is a Dodge fan. Do you have anything that you would be willing to part with in the Mopar department and if so what and how much? If not I will get him online ASAP so he has time to build it.

Tom and I got the remaining walls on the track tonight. They still need to be trimmed top and bottom and sanded, but they look great anyway. I will do my best to get them trimmed and the driver stations done by the 21st. but I have lots of other things that need to be done too.

Wouldn't you know that a few other guys showed up just as we were putting the tools away and getting ready to run some much deserved laps. Well..... that is what it is all about, so we fired it up and ran all 4 lanes. I hope to put up some pictures and a video at some point tomorrow.

After last night I see no problem with running the MT5 and the Piranha motor side by side. We ran a few hundred laps with 3 MT5 motors and one with the Piranha motor side by side. They both had strong points and weak point in comparison to one another, but in the end no advantage over one another. The fish had more punch off the corner and tended to be a little harder to drive, but not bad. The MT5 was just a bit slower off the turn, but made up any ground that it gave up by the end of the straight. The testing was done with 10/26 on the MT5 and 9/26 on the Piranha. We ran them in multiple lanes with the same results. As far as I'm concerned the gear ratio is open. Run whatever gear you want. Who knows I may learn that something different than what I have tried works better than what I'm doing now.

So that's how we will do it. Now it's time to build them. If anyone is in need of the 26 crown gear let me know. I am going to order some Cox gears next week and would add some if you need one. We can install it when you arrive on race day if we need to.

The carpet is the last line of defense. We have had them on the floor even with the walls on, but it takes a nasty crash or wicked case of over driving to make it happen.

Also, I tested the Piranha motor against the MT/5, and I found the Piranha has a better result with the newly lightened body and H&R chassis I am running.
