Sorry to hear, thank you to those of you who know Marty's family for passing on our thoughts to them - from Down Under please let them know I enjoy reading his posts and conversing with him. He was always there to share his knowledge with us all.

I haven't met any of you here on the forum - though I hope to one day - but I sure as heck enjoy checking in each day. RIP Marty :)

This is some truly sad news. I had pm'd him several times, always very helpful. I for one will truly miss him. Prayers for his family at this time.

The slot racing universe shines a little more dimly today. I offer my sympathies to his family, and to Modlerbob, who I know was very close to Marty.

Never had the pleasure of meeting Marty in person. I knew him as a customer and helped him with some of his questions. He was always an easy customer to deal with. I knew was going through cancer treatment. I was really surprised when he had sent in an order not to long ago, I thought he was getting better from his order and he was hinting that things were getting better. I was shocked when I saw that he had passed away, I was also friends with him on Facebook and that was were I found out what had happened. My thoughts go out to his family. Never a good thing to loose someone who is a good person and a Slot car racer.

Sad news indeed. I didn't know Marty and only had a few dealings with him here on the forum, but it is clear that he had a profound effect on all of us and made the slotting world a better place. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. RIP Marty.

Not ever having met Marty: just reading through these posts made me marvel at what an inspiring testimony this is to the person he clearly was. This is a wonderful example to all of us.
