Old Carrera chassis vs new

I have 2003ish Carrera Superbirds and Chargers. The chassis are interchangeable. Apparently there was a chassis change since. I have an extra Superbird body. The plan would be to buy a new Charger and rebody it with the extra 2003 Superbird body I have.

Will the new chassis fit the old bodies?

I am sure someone else will pipe in soon but I am 99.9% positive that the mounting points of the early and late Mopar chassis should be the same. I have swapped chassis between the early edition Charger and the Roadrunner /Superbird bodies. It was a straight across swap.
