My Hudson is going to be an exact model. My Ford was built out of the parts box, and I realize that it will need a few adjustments before it is model ready, I hope we will soon see some rules, though, so we can build or modify for them. I would hate to have to start over from scratch for a proxy, if I have two cars that fit the era, but have a motor pod, or the wrong motor or alignment.

My Hudson already fits pretty well with those rules. I will use either the body shown above or my Barn Find proxy car for the other one. Come to think of it, all I would need to do with that car would be to repaint over the chicken poop. The chassis is already there.

The Lindberg kits are too small sir. Wish they were worth using, I have a stack myself.

Not to gang up on you, Keith, but that chickensh*t car of yours is a unique piece of work. I'd hate to think it would get sacrificed. Can I send you a body to tempt you to keep it?

Well, shoot. I found a sealed kit locally for $8, but I thought it looked small when I opened it. Didn't know that about the Lindbergs. Glad it wasn't an expensive lesson.

I will say that since they are so cheap and unwanted, the Lindberg, Palmer and a few others that clearly are nowhere near 1/32nd as they claimed... can be a lot of fun if you get a bagful of them and keep them around for when you have folks over. They are all just about the same wrong scale, so they look fairly good when there's no real 1/32nd cars around on the track. Of them all, the Slopeback Chevy and a few others from that era really are fun on the track. You can expand a 1/43rd chassis or just whip up a custom brass unit. Use a small box motor to keep it from getting crazy out of hand fast. I've been threatening to do this for years and I keep getting distracted by all the rest of the amazing fun in this hobby. Sound familiar, guys?

Not a complaint, but I have a question. Why do we almost always have a rule that we must use inline configuration? I hadn't really noticed until I started this one, and I'm curious.
