I wish I had more room, but I have an N scale Train layout taking up half the basement, and I am not yet ready to give that the heave ho. I was able to convince my wife that the area on top of our storage shelves was going to waste. I ended up with a 4 X 12 ft area. It is not ideal as this is under a sunken family room, so it only has 6 ft of height, and then there is the HVAC encroaching into that. It is also about 50 inches off the ground, so not ideal for real kids. I am trying to finish it as best I can. My wife sewed up a black skirt that will hide all the storage stuff underneath it, and help present it better.

My fastest NoMag car barely broke the 5 second mark. Stock Carrera mag cars can do this in about 3.9 seconds. No offense to guys who like mag racing as it is fun to see how fast you can actually go, but I like the tail wagging and the feedback that NoMag cars give you. You know when you are on the edge of out of control. The track plan is working for me with the one hair pin and the esses after you pass under the bridge being a real car eater if you are not paying attention

Thanks for the comment on the video. Slowing them down to 10% of real time really allows you to see what is going on. Until I watched this in slow motion I had no idea how much the cars are actively handling the power down on the front straight. They really are dancing down it when you gun it.

Cheers

Dan
