Jaguar XJR9

Postby gsmea » Tue Apr 12, 2016 3:21 am

Hi all,
You remember my XJ220 that I did
viewtopic.php?t=12237
After seeing this a friend asked me to do a Slot It blanko in the Castrol liveries. A Replica of the one that won the 1990 Daytona.
So I intend to go from here:

To this:

Again I will be making all my own decals from scratch. No templates and the like.
Jack will spray the car himself, I will be doing the liveries.
So keep your eyes on this thread.

Jack I hope you don't mind me sharing our progress.

Ohhhh, I'm having loads of fun with these decals. Progress on decal design.

Still got to do the green on the nose and get the reds a bit darker.

Finished the decals template. Did n first colour print on normal paper to ensure the decals are the correct size an shape and that colours are the same.

Nice work. I have just gotten into making my own detailed decals on my home printer. I appreciate all the work that goes into them!

kOzOoo1 - thank you. I have done a couple cars now. My greatest challenge is to get pictures in the correct colours. For the rest its just sizing the decals. I just love it.
Please share with us the process you use in designing your decals?
