Very nice. I see you have increased the lever moment to keep that speedy Slot.it motor in check, and that's a great idea. Any idea what the weight of the chassis is, wheels, tires and all? Since I usually build battleships, I'm really watching the weight on this one.

In spite of my recent Ford/Ferrari fiasco, I still haven't purchased a scale, but surely need to. I expect it to be in the 120-140g range as it is heavier than most of my cars.

I will use it for club TransAm class, and since we have adjustable power supplies on each lane, I can give it more or less as needed.

Thanks for the link. Simpson's became Simpson-Sears and is now just Sears. Eaton's used to be my goto catalogue store, especially during the twelve years I lived in the Arctic. Unfortunately it has gone the way of the Dodo, and I hear Sears is not far behind it. With Walmart, Lowes and Costco, even Target couldn't make a go of it in Canada.

Where in Ontario did you live? I grew up in Scarborough and East York, Toronto suburbs, and went to university in Waterloo.

I was Southside, London. In those days, there was a hobby shop on Dundas Street and a basement slot car track in every neighborhood. We used to go to the CNE every summer, passing very near you on the MacDonald-Cartier Freeway.

Today, after 4, yes 4 tries, I mounted the body on the chassis. Drove me crazy. But it is a new method I never tried before. Pictures tomorrow. I'm tired and I breathed a awful lot of fumes today.

Hahahahaha. I built the rear end last night and it didnt turn out too bad.
Used the PM bracket and some square tube. Then fit smaller square tube in it and then slid larger over the front end in prep for the front axle holder and guide section. I used my big iron for the heavier brass motor bracket, and the small soldering station for the finer stuff , it was fun, no burns, cause I dropped things very quickly, and nothing has broken apart. I am abit worried about fit into, the Cuda Chassis though. I may need to do, the cut of and card interior for the inline. It will be put aside until Monday now as the Pennsylvania Posse arrives tomorrow for the weekend.
Having fun, using the jewellers block and the pins, but they aren't steel as the magnet dosent pick them up. Definitely a metal, likely aluminum. Oh yes enjoying this indeed. Should have been doing this for ages, as I had forgotten how much fun it is.
