New Porsche in Town - Updated

Postby Audi1 » Mon Jun 06, 2016 5:13 am

One of the cars that I plan to run in the upcoming La Carrera Panamericana-2 fun run proxy is a Porsche 550 coupe. I've always thought that this car was very cool looking and since it won it's class in the 1953 race (small displacement sports cars) I wanted to get one into the second running of this event.

The problem was, it wasn't readily available........

Munter to the rescue!

John has very recently (like yesterday) completed a re-pop of this car. I think it came out looking great!. :handgestures-thumbup: I also think that it's going to look nice on the starting grid come November.

Here are a few pics of the kit that's now available: resin body, vac-formed glass and interior, driver's head, headlight lenses and authentic knock-off wheel inserts.

Can't wait to get started on this one! :banana-dance:

Now, for some decals..............

Sorry guys.

Give me a few minutes and I'll get them posted.

Harry just told me what to do. I'll give it a try. Have I ever told you what a pleasure it is to try to lift pics from AOL............................??! Not.

When you posted that you wanted to build that car, I thought, "Good luck with that!" Leave it to Munter to come through with a body kit. Good job John.

That will be a great car once you build it up, Allan.

Cheers,

Keith

Thanks Keith. I'll bet you thought the same thing when I said that I also wanted to build out an OSCA MT-4 - right? Stay tuned on that one..................... ;)
