Trans AM bodies thread

I have been haunting the net ( e-bay ) looking for U2 bodies. ( non Muscle cars ) They were mostly older rally cars if you didn't know and have only found a couple of diecasts that can be purchased and casted. It surprised me that I could not find a Beetle at all.
Mustangs, Camaros, Firebirds that fit the classes and years allowed are everywhere in diecasts
( some in plastic and some from the bigger manufacturers ) but not all of us can make diecasts into resin or carve a body out of wood.

I think we need a list of who has what bodies that they are willing to provide to the racers.
Is a list like this ok here Harry? SCI would surely frown on such a thing.

It depends on the time scale, but I have made molds for the Volvo 120 Amazon (a 4 door but not too difficult to modify, a BMW2002 early model, a Mini Cooper Mk1 and a Ford Cortina Mk1.

I was planning to enter some or all of these myself and will be starting to cast the bodies this week, if anybody wants any of these just pm me on here or Facebook. I have not cast any bodies since last year so will have to do some to make sure my resin is ok still.I dont make windows so anybody having any of these bodyshells would have to make their own.

Lloyd, you also have a Saab 96. They ran in 1966. I have casts of BMW 2002 and Alfa GTV, but they are pretty rudimentary.

Thanks Marc, I didnt see the SAAB on the list. My BMW 2002 is from a Trofou plastic model and is quite nice. But your Alfa should be the way to go!

This is getting a little exciting.
I found an e-bay Alfa gtv but haven't purchased it yet, the Alpha Romeo looks pretty good too and should fit in.

The Hillman/ Sunbeam looks pretty funky. I'd take one of those if you cast it.

Thanks Roland for the link to the German e-bay. The Canadian site does not have any Beetles except for a couple of modern ones.
Will you enter a car?
I got a SCX 'cuda from Bill I can cast but I'm like Lloyd and haven't done any casting for some time. I'll get out my legos and try a sillicone mold to-night or tomorrow.
The '67 Dodge Charger is one I like. Does anyone do that? Trans am Mick?
