I use adobe Photoshop and MS paint. MS paint is good for basic editing, and then Adobe Photoshop has a wide assortment of tools.

I will remove the slots by copying and pasting slices of the image over the slots, and then use a blend tool in photoshop to hide this edit. When this gets run through the watercolor conversion all evidence of it being a slot car is removed.

Good to see the Porsche GT3 again. That is the car that kicked off this new livery.

I have as much fun playing with digital images as I do slot cars.

I took reeks picture, removed the slots and went with less detail on the brush strokes in the watercolor.



As you mentioned with digital images you can reconstruct them to whatever suits you best. The same image can be shown many different ways, and adjusted to your own personal liking. I have a theme going with the style I have chosen so I try to represent every picture in the same style. The photo software allows me to do that with any picture. When these get hung on the wall there is a familiarity between them, making them appear as a set.

Attached pics are from Doc Reinecke's Palmer Divide raceways layout. Taken when I went to his place to pick up some figures I had ordered. He also graciously let me rummage through his Leper Colony of what he considered poor resin figure casts. Great fun in itself.
