My question is how do you purpose to run magnet cars if you have a wood track? That would seem to be a problem. Mag cars are set up WAY different than non-mag.
I'll build a mag car if that can be worked out.
One solution would be plastic track only, but that will go over like the proverbial "lead balloon". :lol:

Just wondering one small thing, but it says "no 1/32 car parts" O.K., but frequently 1/32 guides are used on 1/43 cars and I am thinking that should not be a problem??? Appologies if this has already been argued over! Otherwise it looks good.

Hey guys
made some adjustments/amendments.
All four tires on the track-I agree
Took out the "no 1/32 parts"
added the headers to keep track of who and what and where
Capn Jodi- I have a wood track and what few magnet cars i have (4 scx cudas to be exact) run fine with a rear tire change, i left the mag in for weight purposes. hope that helps some-prob not' but thats my experience with them. Havent had a plastic track since i was kid, so i am at a loss there.

There is really no difference between a mag car on a wood track just get some urethane tires and you have a no mag race car run at the same voltage as the no mag cars the real difference is the person with the wood track can really tune them up to run on the latex paint where a plastic track the car depends on the mag to give it the ability to handle the track there is a little bit difference in tuning them up between them but not to much .
and with a no mag on plastic all you do is run them at a lower voltage that is why there is two classes one winner in no mag and one winner for the mag cars.

I really liked the dirt series cause you ran a mag car on a wood track and a plastic track those who had no mag in their cars also did well in the series.
The reason I suggested two classes is that I have a plastic Carrera and SCX combo track which is not ready to host an event yet still waiting on some pieces to arrive.
Transam6870 has wood hence the need for a mag and a no mag classes.

Roland, if the models are of a particular car that raced in the series, the dimensions are 1/43 of that car, so no problems with overwide or extra long bodies!

I`ve been around here for quite a few years,and I remember back when we ran a lot of ARTINs,no one was nit pickin about whether they were a few mm off,we just enjoyed ourselves,but it appears like a few want everything precise anymore,well guess what....there`s nothing perfect in this world,and that goes for these 1/43 toys,so get over it! :roll:

I think as long as the dimensions are close to 1/43 it should be alright. you can buy a 69 camaro from 8 different manufacturers and they will all be a little off.
I also need to start getting ideas of who is in, what class and how many cars and who would definitely like to host. Peter I have no prob sending my cars to you, I would love some pics of my cars on the Desmo.
I have listed a few but they are incomplete.

Hoos - Mr.Neomagnet is in for a No-Mag car? my picture of the world is crumbling ;)

my suggestion would be that my track is not the first one - postage over the pond for individual cars is more expensive than for one bigger box, somewhere in between, but i´m fine in either way.

Will the cars be returned between the races or only in case of a DNF/Fault?

I'm in for 2 cars for the mag race = :banana-rock:
Would be willing to host on my 4 lane SCX track. That is if I can get my lap timmer working corectly IE: (Lap timmer 2000)
The track is APPROX 55 FEET plus or minus a foot.
I use two BSRT power suplies they are like the little tatto power suplies. They are 2 amp regulated power suplies with variable voltage settings @ = 12v, 9v, 7.5v, 6v, & 4.5v... One for each of the two lanes 1 unit runs lanes 1 & 2 the other runns lanes 3 & 4.....
