As I said in the Carrera Spy Shot post a few weeks ago, I work across from Wendell Scott's daughter. Actually have worked around or with her for 4 or so years. She is a shop repair person with me at FORD. So today I was able to present her with the Carrera Torino today. To say she was surprised would be a understatement, as strange as it may seem. She had no knowledge this was even being done. She informed me she had quite the input on the Monogram issue a few years back along with her brothers. Anyway she was very excited and had a few teary moments while telling me some great stories about her dad's dirt floor Garage. She also put to rest a rumor that has been circulating for years. She told me Richard Petty spent many nights at "dad's old garage" helping her dad, and donated a lot of good parts to Wendell Scott's racing efforts. She also gave me a copy of the HOF book they were presented at the ceremony.
