Has anyone ever tried to use a Tatoo Variable Power Supply?
I bought one off ebay. Can't get it to run a motor, even at 20V.
I figured it would be good for a one lane bull ring.

Not sure where yours came from....racer1h uses two of them (one per lane) and his are great. We have never had a problem with them running a pair of Slot it cars full bore.

I have one painted with hotrod flames.... works well in a single lane environment.

I use it as a back up for the track but mostly it runs my tyre truer

Mine is a Monster Point with flames, and I can't get an Artin car to run.
I have tried everything I can think of. It is analog and goes up to 15 volts.

You need a meter and test the output of your power supply, it may have a blown fuse or be defective....

I've got a couple and they run one lane each fine.There seems to be many different types on the bay..

Is there any watt rating on the unit, I had some power supplies once that had a built in overload device and it would not run some cars due to the higher amp draw on startup but you would think it would run a low power car like Artin. As Jesla said you need a meter, a good investment for any one with slot cars.

You need one rated at least 2 amps.

I think this one is rated at 1.5 amps. That could be the whole problem with it. Now to find something I can use it for.

1.5 amps should easily run a Artin car, must be something wrong with it.

Frank,got to thinking.Which can be a bad thing.. ;)
Some of these have a small switch in the back that you have to change over to US rated power.
First one we got in wouldn't hardly move a car till we discovered the switch..
