Now we are talking. With very little from them that interests me anymore, a very welcome sight indeed.

That is one honkin' big rear tire :)

Aw, get the MRRC ones.
I've got three, just need to get the #1 car.

"The Scalextric car was designed this year, and took a few months. Having produced the other Ford GT marques, it made perfect sense to model the Ford GT40 Mk IV despite it, sadly, only entering two races. Work was started by the team in April, with the CAD finished in June.

Unfortunately it wasn’t possible for us to visit a Ford Mk IV to research the model, with the only example being in the US, but our designers were able to use a myriad of resources and no small amount of skill.

With this new tooling announcement we can also reveal one model you can expect next year. The C3859 Ford GT40 Mk IV will be available in the winning livery from the 12 Hours of Sebring. While the car had been showing promising signs in testing, the 12 Hours of Sebring was the first tangible result that showed Ford they could claim what they truly wanted, the win at Le Mans."

It looks like the chassis isn't clamshell. I like that.

Yessirree, I have an NSR version and a MRRC body on a Scaley GT40 chassis and this will be a great addition.

I just hope they don't decide to do it on a inline. I am not sure the thinking that would think inline is the better setup.

Mike
I'll be stopping by your shop to pick up a NSR GT40 as soon as the snow lets up for a few days.
I'm about a hour and 1/2 away on a good day. :scared-eek:
Also just getting into this scale, I've been a HO Guy forever and your about the closest shop/track to me, been learning a lot on the forums, this is about the best forum for watching the hands on leaning, thanks to everyone here for a great site. :text-thankyouyellow:

I think it will be inline - I don't think Scalextric will be doing anymore sidewinders unless it is a new livery on an existing car - If you want something different then they will probably do a PCR chassis for it and away you go.

It would be nice if we got lucky and they used the GT40 chassis as basis for this one but I doubt they will.

The NSR version is quick but not really right - the MRRC version suffers from the chassis and the stock motor being OP I am quite looking forward to this one - something worth waiting for

Here is one that I saw at the Greenwich Concours in 2002, if there is only one left this must be it.

While I am interested in this, am I the only one who thinks the rear tire looks a little...tall?
