The body for this one is a slope-back Charger, so its long and narrow. The chassis worked fine for the hillclimb with a very short wheelbase. I am looking forward to seeing what happens all stretched out. The screw hole at the rear is actually a toggle, and the front mounts are rigid to the body. There are limiters to control how far it will flex or how much the motor/drive axle section can tilt- that's the critical part, as I learned with the hillclimber. I had to adjust and reinstall the limiters again and again to get it right, but when I got the right movement, it was downright hard to make it deslot. I have decided to make the front wheels independent and the tires will be conically ground to allow a realistic camber.
Well, that's the plan, anyway. Seeing January on the calendar is a wake-up shout today. I have a Plan B to build a normal chassis if it looks like I might run out of time. The two other cars on my bench will be finished very soon, and the Charger body (from someone's junk box years ago), is ready to decal when the decals finally get here.
