Carrera Ford GT

I just read on Slot Car Today that Carrera is delaying the release of its Ford GT again. According to SCT, it is now backed up until late May. There was also information that Carrera is using some fantasy liveries for this model. Don't shoot the messenger.

Don't know how I missed your post, Harry. I think that is a very striking car. Even more so than the factory red, white and blue. The Ford GT is just a beautiful machine - always has been.

Not a huge fan of the orange one, but I can't wait to get my hands on the blue and red one. That car is just beautiful!

Not just the car itself, but what else it will allow: The match up with the C7R :)

I think that will be where I'll have a good deal of fun. With the price point staying as low as it is for this year again, I can easily see these cars finding their way into many home racers inventory.

What I noticed about the actual car at Daytona last weekend is that it sits very low. Possibly even lower than the famous 40 inches of the original Ford GT"40". I hope the Carrera model brings that element across.

There's no reason for panicking, the model is ready and approved since December.
It's just that we have so much to produce, that there have to be priorities on the production-schedule.

Actually, I hope the Mustang is 1/32 and the Ford GT is 1/24th because the Mustang is a bigger car.
