Love the 300SL "in the box", from the markings on the flatcar it looks like it was taken in Germany before being shipped.

I wonder if that's Ted in his Texaco uniform standing next to the the remains of his car?

"Beach" track at Daytona would be neat but you'd run into the same problems the rally guys do when they spread "dirt" on their tracks....tends to get into the running gear! It would be interesting though.

I recognize the last batch, Sebring 1957.......the D Jag top and the Corvette SS bubbletop were required by the rules, they didn't run with them :hand:
Also the "pits" were just the basic wooden frame with the sign, the teams erected their own roofs/viewing decks or backed trucks up to them. In those days crowd control was....uh...."lax". But the more organized racing has gotten, the more "flavor" it has lost.

There you go Harry, a totally unique dirt track bomber....Jaguar XK140 Fixed Head Coupe! There are some resin bodies out there so your Nincos would be safe! I imagine some die hard Jag fans on this forum are going into papitations over THAT picture! :o
