Ford-Porsche Wars - the weekly eye candy

It's been more than a week since the last post...

I'll toss my favorite in here. I think the GT40 Mk I has an absolutely timeless beauty to it, rivaled only by the 250GTO. I have adopted this as my own personal livery and most of my builds/proxy entries usually have a white with red finish:

I think you should use your Gt to haul your gravity racer to MT Tabor, it would definitely draw attention, but then a trailer hitch on the back might spoil the look.

Indy 500 day today, so in honor of Jimmy Clark's run at the brickyard way back when, here's another Ford for the Ford-Porsche Wars eye candy post. One of my all-time favorites; even though it ran in the GT category. Carrol Shelby to the rescue!

There's just something inherently likeable about this racer. It's the kind of car that you hope you'll wake up tomorrow morning to see parked in your garage! The 906 really started Porsche on it's way to a dominant position in WEC racing.

Hard not to like this car.......a GT Porsche with a distinct Prototype body feel to it. The 904 GTS was a step up from the 718 and helped to pave the way for Porsche's subsequent generations of prototype racers.



If I could have two racers in my stable, they would be the Porsche 904 and the Ferrari 330/P4.........
