There really are some stunning pre-War cars out there. Unfortunately they tend to fall into the 'too expensive' category for me unless it's in kitform.

The Birkin is a beauty. I did look at it instead of the Blower, but I wanted the full effect. Silly me. The PP Stutz Blackhawk kit that I bought for His Lordship just went together so much better. But maybe that's more his 'slap it together and slap some paint on it approach' than the kit. Although, he seems to be taking the utmost care with his George Turner Morgans. :)

The PP Napier Railton is another fabulous car. What did you paint it with? I saw someone do one in full foil.

I did the Napier with a black undercoat, then Chrome and then sprayed it with clear coat and of course it immediatley went silver grey. It looks good, but I really wanted the chrome look. I'm going to do another without the clear coat, but my fear is that the chrome coat will oxidize where it is touched. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I didn't see any morgans on George Turner's site. Are they new or long gone?

Just re-checked Turner's site and found them. Thanks Ember.

May I suggest to get some Alcad II you well need to paint the body flat black first then apply the Alcad II with an air brush then get yourself some futura floor wax and apply that and you will have a nice and shiny chrome car that can stand to be touched a long time.

BTW: google Alcad II to see where to get a bottle of it the site I use to get it from has closed so I'm also looking to get some but I'll have to find a place that stocks it also.

Racer

I used Dupli-color chrome which went on very nicely before I clear coated it. Does Futura only work with Alcad II?

The Singer will no doubt be another brilliant GT production. He knows his stuff.

One day I'll get around to finishing my PP Bentley and recover enough to tackle one of George's oldies. The Magnette is a lovely little car.

Yes, I'm thrilled at the prospect. I'm just assembling all the photos and dimensions I can to assist him. Fortunately I have a friend in the UK who is making a 1:1 replica of the same and I hope to draw upon some of the design work he has completed to assist George.

Beautiful cars and photos on this thread!

As for GTM - George does some simply fabulous work and is the best resin I've seen out there in a VERY long time.

I have a few sets of Peter's 15s that I purchased for a Lotus Elite and a few other things. Not done anything further with them. Just the sight of them scares me. Not tackled the PP ones for the Bentley yet either. I will get brave and back to the PP BB some day.
