Gotta love the TR4s lined up for a LeMans start.
I have a feeling that Healy has more than a 4 or 6 in it!

The picture of the Austin-Healey Hundred is interesting. I have one and know that many Healeys
were built into drag cars. But considering that the 100/4 is pretty rare, and how much they are
bringing at auction these days, I wonder if the builder now wishes he had chosen a different body.

A little inspiration for those of us working on the Carrera TBirds. This is from the 1955 Sebring; he drove from Illinois, pulled off the top and wheelcovers and went racing. Finished too!

A lot of low budget racers in the '50s and '60s drove their race cars to the track. As an extreme example,
I went to the Bugatti Club's anniversary meet in Maine many years ago. A friend and I trailered a Type 37
Grand Prix from Chicago to the event. But another friend drove his Type 40 all the way. He had an oil pump
failure in Pennsylvania and had to stop at a motel. Another Bugatti owner saw him working on his car and
stopped, and loaned Sandy a pump so he could drive the rest of the way.

In the "Mini Funny Car" pic; the front wheels on the T-Bucket push car are the same ones on my 74 Capri; and I love the supercharged 4 cyl on the rail job in the near lane (note the stock Mini on the hill in the background).

As fo Ember's model for a driver figure I thought maybe that was Danica's Great Aunt

If that Ferrari is still around I'm willing to bet it doesn't get driven like that now! :naughty:
