Got a start on a mod for the Summer Showdown in July.
I found this chassis languishing in the scrap pile on my work bench.
I don't know what I was building this for, but it got tossed in the pile some time ago.
I figured I'd resurrect it for the Showdown.
I built it for 3/32 axles, but I wanted to use 1/8, so I drilled out the rear bearings &
slipped 1/8 Pro-Track wheels over the front brass housing for a free wheeling front end.
I soldered a washer as an inside stop & epoxied a styrene rod in the center & tapped
for a screw to keep the wheels in place.
Added some light brass sheet to the bottom & a few 3/64 brass rods in a few places.
I figured it needed a big block Chevy engine
Got the Corvair body mounted where it needs to be.
I'll work on finishing it up this week........I hope. :whistle:
