Munter has dropped the cars off to me today
they are unpacked and lined up for qualifying
I will give them all a quick check over so they are ready to burn some laps

i will get the qualifying done over the next few days and I will confirm the race day date







3 lane routed mdf with 8mm deep slots
braided
track surface is semigloss enamel
approximately 28m lane lengths with 100mm lane spacings
has a slight squeeze on the back hair pin
mostly runs on 12volts but can be turned down to run on less for those extra hot cars
I use trackmate for the timing and race control

a good quick time for these type of cars is from 5.1 - 5.3 sec laps

Ah, great to see the cars on the BlackWidow Raceway! Looking forward to the qualy and the race results.

Getting another two Rounds in this quickly really makes it feel like this proxy has re-jumpstarted! Thanks for the great efforts from our racer friends down under!

Thanks for the qualifying run the #33 will be looking in the rear view the entire race as I know the cars will get bigger and bigger as the race continues. The 23,70,15,27 and 21 and that 819 will be strong on race day. Thanks for getting EVERYTHING out of it And good luck to all the builders.

BARC1 one of the rear body posts was broken free from the body
on your #19 Porsche
I re-glued it back in place then finished qualifying it

looks like that car has had a pretty good hit as the front of the body is broken

Thanks DC for qualifying. Strange no 133 is suffering loss of grip as they are NSR SGs. Unless the edges are chewed, not sure why they have suddenly lost grip. :?:

ok the race has been run and won

thanks to Munter, slotmadmac and myself for driving duties
and thanks to slotsnz, Jk and Rossko for marshaling and race control
and thanks to Pedro51 for showing up even with his broken leg for moral support

all went smoothly with only one issue involving Aolha #4 car
the motor is playing up, it died in the last few laps on white lane
we were able to give it a quick flush out at the end of the heat and it was away again
but I think there may be a fair bit of crap on the commentator
hopefully it lasts the rest of the proxy

thanks to all of you for letting the Hawkes Bay boy's race your cars
we all enjoyed them a lot

I will give all the cars a check over and packed into the box on the weekend
and should have them in the post up to DRW21 in Auckland next week

Congrats to Dave (drw21) on his top finish! That car had phenomenal grip on my track in Round #1 and it's good to see that it's still a "traction tiger" as we get further down into the Rounds. Congrats also to kidvoltage and to this young upstart who call himself Smokeio..........!! Well done, guys! :text-bravo: :text-bravo: :text-bravo:

Now, I think that the cars go up to Dave in Auckland to finish out the 3 Rounds in NZ. They've been great so far and we all really appreciate that fact that you guys have jump-started us after the long SA-NZ travel hiatus. Thanks again!
