I have them both Alan,the TR3 is an Aurora body if i remember correctly.But the chassis,front engine, is distorted and if it is to send it to a proxy i have to build a new one.No its not a single rear wheel just similar to what happened to your IPS #25 car.

On second thought can you reserve ,if still available,#23 for me for 15 days?

I like your second thought! #23 is gone to chappy; it's his perennial racing number and he is modeling Mimi's pink sprite. However, #123 is available, as is #231. Ones are easy to move around and can be stick-ons……………..

Ok gents,

You know it's the right graphics guy for the job — going retro, a shot my Dad took of me in the paddock area, circa 1971 at the Can-Am races at Laguna Seca raceway, Monterey, CA. These were the big races we would go to when we weren't autocrossing or racing the 1969 Porsche 911E in SCCA events.





So with all my racing history in check, I set out to capture the essence of this SCCA proxy race with the utmost details. The best decals are printed on BelDecal white background paper — this enables any color race car and captures small details. Needing to keep the printing in check and create period correct looking graphics, that were easy to cut out, I picked sponsors that could be sculpted with a straight edge, with the exception of few. Each marque has respective typography used from that nation (i.e. UK used Gill Sans; USA - Chaparral, Rockwell; Germany - DIN Schriften). These are smaller sized digital proofs, I'll be printing this week. Hopefully everyone enjoys.

Oh, here's another photograph my Dad shot in 1959 at the SCCA races in Santa Barbara, CA. If I had time build a car for the race, this is what I was planning. Unfortunately, my Retro Resins RS60 spyder body has been somehow coddled by Shotgun Dave... ugh.

I'll post up a report on my other racing venture that is taking up my time, which I 'm sure all will enjoy.

WOW!!!!! Definitely not what I was expecting in decals, that's incredible work if I may say so. And you're Dad seems super cool. Thanks again for doing the work and sharing the pics.

Are you sure the 1964 Chaparral is a BM? This picture shows Hap Sharp's twin car with a CM class marker.

Grand effort studioRS, have you thought of making and selling a generic sheet of contingency decals for those who do a lot of scratch building?
There seems to be a huge hole in the market for 32nd scale decals.

Sorry Allan, I didn't come across the attached picture until yesterday. According to RacingSportsCars.com, the Hap Sharp Chaparral 2A competed in very few SCCA National races and the entry list and results data don't detail the class in which this particular car competed. Jim Hall mainly raced in, and won, the USRRC Championship that year. In those races, the entries were simply listed as "Over 2 Liters" or "Under 2 Liters". None of the research photos of the Hall car that I replicated seem to carry SCCA class info.
