Rather than "kit", are these by any chance the race set with a Mercedes and an Aston Martin along with track, power supply, controllers, etc? There was a Revell set with those cars that was named Atlantica. The last one I picked up was $40, in restorable condition. The cars alone are worth $30 each if in decent shape.

The Atlantica is one of the larger Revell home sets. It's a nice layout and in good, complete condition with running cars sells for $100 to $150 on the auction site.

Yes 2 complete sets, one in very nice condition with nice cars and the other is rough with broken cars.
I thought the cars were about $30 each for the nice ones so I offered $75 for both and was denied.

I just like the cars (300sl and Aston) and thought it would be fun to have but not for $100 with cars i will never run....

Yeah, $75 for two complete sets is a very low offer. He can get that for the cars alone.

That's the only reason I would buy them ,for the cars, I don't think the track is worth much, or is it?

It's worth what someone is willing to pay.

If you are thinking of buying to resell, not much here.

The track and cars in the right hands would be good to see, for someone who wants vintage gear.

Actually if it is clean, the track is as nice or better than most/all of the 1/32 brands made today. 3 1/2 inches between slots, easy to find enough to do a 4 lane set up. Both sets are probably worth $110-$150 on Ebay. Trouble is always shipping with buying sets. If you could buy them for $100 or so it would be a nice batch of 1/32 track for somebody to set up a hobby track. Not sure the cars are worth a lot, junkers maybe $15 each, nice complete cars maybe $30-$50. Prices always depend on the day of the week, time of the day and what the bidders had for lunch. No way to know what they will bring till they are sold.
