Czar....
Motor: There are two spec motors for this proxy; an FC can and an FF slimline. The spec. FC motor is the H&R Hawk (manufacturer's spec. = 18,000 rpm / 140 g.cm torque / 6.3 Watts). The spec FF motor is the Policar PMX01 (manufacturer's spec. = 25,000 rpm / 95 g.com torque / 6.0 Watts). These are the preferred motors for this proxy. However, if these motors are not available to an entrant, then ANY commercially available FC-130 or FF-050 motor may be used; as long as it's manufacturer's specs do not exceed BOTH the rpm and torque specs. for the two spec. motors. If the manufacturer's specs are not readily and routinely available for a given motor, then it is not legal for this series.
We are not looking to change the rules as this was the rule to start with.... my simple question was ...will pioneer 18k motor fit or not, and the only criteria to fit were manufactured specs no some test done by someone on unknown number of motors. Example here.... there is a interprovincial race coming with 15 piranha motors drafted between 5 teams... guess what..... that 15 motors were between 21600 to 23900 rpm. Using manufacturer specs is best option and only fair option because I’m pretty sure that between Hawk’s used in this proxy if we test them you will find some motors be +/- 10%or more of spec...
I have pioneers motors laying around and no hawk to use, that’s why I have asked Allan
Happy building
