Jalopy highboy build

Going through my kits this weekend, and found this old deuce model. I needed another Jalopy to round out my lanes, so I built up a quickie from spare parts. As usual, when I set out to build a quick slot car, it never happens! , this one ran smooth as silk right off the bench..... go figure? The hand slop painted sponsor's are actual places. My first job at 15 was at that Ford dealer as a school work program, the Other was my wife's Grandmothers little café/ bar she had from the 50's till around 1985.

Fun stuff. Those rear tires are perfect jalopy tires. I have almost run out of them in both scales I build. Are those some of your recent tire work?

Yes Rob, those are mine. The rears on this one are actually some Dunlop's I made for the pre and post war Grand prix cars. I like the overall size of these, so I used them. I am trying to get all my molds back up to par to fulfill a vendor promise, but will be glad to send you some shortly. let me know what size you need/ want. I do have a surplus of some of them.
