Scalextric Challenger On A Analog Track

I raced the Aurora sets back in the 60s and I am a newbie when it comes to the modern 1/32 cars and sets. I just received the Scalextric American Racers analog set and would like to get a Scalextic 70 Challenger for it. I see that the Challenger is digital plug ready so will the Challenger work on this track out of the box as it is on the analog track. Any responses will be appreciated. :?:

You can run the car as is out of the box. The Digital Plug Ready means that the car is easily converted to digital if desired
