A clarification please... May I assume that the Scalextric 2018 catalog modern F1 cars are permitted in this proxy? That would be the 2017 "McLaren-Honda" #14 (C3956), the 2017 "Williams FW40" #19 (C3955), the "F1 Red" #57 (C3958), and the "Blue Wings F1" #6 (C3960). These cars have somewhat less detail than previous Scalextric F1 cars, especially around the suspension, but more importantly they are all identical, generic, approximate representations of a 2017 F1 car. Only the paint and tampo decoration differentiate them. Since the proxy rules allow fantasy liveries, I can see no reason why the "Red" and "Blue" generic cars shouldn't be allowed to race as is with only appropriate changes to race numbers.
