Brian et al:

So as a past Artin stockest would you think that a 4 lane 4 car stock car set with the R3/R4 curves from the American Thunder set and respective inside borders/outside walls, but the 20 plus straight sections from the Figure 8 R1/R2 figure eight set would be the way to go?

...or a set that includes a combination of all four of the curves with the 20 plus straights.

I feel strongly the best way to go would be the Artin Figure 8 1:32 4 lane track layout as shown in this thread with four Stockers. The set sales will be really strong as long as the street price is $249.99 or less ($199.99 would be ideal but costs may have gone up). I have seen plenty of layouts made with 2 Figure 8 sets so you can build some really good layouts with just the R1 and R2 curves. This set is basically the flagship product for Artin 1:32.

The R3 and R4 curves take up much more space and would make the race set packaging larger, which means higher shipping costs. If sales are strong, then perhaps the R3 and R4 curves could be offered in a future race set and/or sold separately.

Best regards,
Brian

A potential revival of Artin 1/32 Pro by Dragon-I Toys is now officially dead despite my best efforts.

Man, I am bummed. I was hopping to lay my hands on a couple of Artin RTR chassis.

Is the "1/32 Pro" just their digital version, or all 1/32 products? If the latter, what else do they plan to do with the molds? I have a 4-lane set up that I plan to use indefinitely, plus an eight-lane to use as a real Figure 8 (not over and under), plus a sixteen lane Digi-Pro layout to use in the future, so I still believe in Artin. As I said earlier, even if they don't want to make more sets, I am still in the market for straights, half straights, R3 and R4 curves (with walls - I like them), rolling 1/32 chassis (both with lights and without), grandstands, stock car interiors, stocker wheels/tires, motors and the like, and I bet others are as well - even if they license others to provide old stock or to sub-contract new parts to be made from the molds, I would be interested.
