Sometimes when you get bored you come up with a 'what-if' idea. So you model it up.


Then you print it out and try to keep from laughing. :lol: But at least its fun.

I using NETFAB to scale down the Pacer that was downloaded from thingverse and I'm using inventor to model up the chassis and check fit the Pacer on the Chassis.

Pacer, Gremlin, Pinto. 3D printed bodies and a standard printed chassis, printed wheels, and printed guide flag.
It would be fun........it would require sharing the files though.....

DANG you guys got me looking at printers I can’t see it right away but it feels inevitable that an Ender 3 will eventually have a home here. When that happens not only a pacer and gremlin but a spirit too. And let’s not forget a 442 :music-rockout: Like you said let the imagination go wild :banana-dance:

For those of us that trace our immersion in short track oval racing back to the late 60's and 70's virtually all the modified car bodies were based on Gremlins, Pintos. Vegas, and even the occasional Pacer. These less than $2000 MSRP compact cars were were popular.

The infamous Grant King #73 Gremlin driven by Gary Balough, Billy Osmun, and a few other top drivers. When this car showed up at a northeast dirt track odds were it would wind up in victory lane.

Man, me too, we rode that coaster til race time.
My cousins family was a Chevy dealer north of there, he had a body shop and raced modifieds there for years, when old enough some of us ran in the demo. One of us drove rally and I went road racing.
