Alfa 8 C

Third car up in the prewar builds is an Alfa 8 C. Chassis is the same as in the 12 C except the front axle assembly is part of the Body. I needed to move the guide back as the front axle on these cars is mounted way forward. The body is very narrow, and I had to mill out a section to fit the Lego double block rear end.

Rear wheels are BRM wire, and the front are scaley wire wheels. Mixed together it is hard to tell them apart, and saves on the cost of the build.

I apologize for the dusty close up photos. Amazing what the camera picks up that the eye doesn't.
