Here I sit looking over the parts and and what needs to be done to complete my Showdown but I’m entirely distracted. While researching 3D printers I stumbled upon a pretty good deal on one used and local I made the mistake of going to look at it so needless to say I have a new toy calling at me while I try to finish another before I play with it ;)

Good luck. It turns out a person doesn't have to have ADHD to be easily distracted by things in their range of interest. About every other week or so something grabs my interest and immediate plans get put on hold. Actually, being semi-retired I think this is good because I'd hate to deal with running out of things to look forward to doing.

An older brother of mine had a major stroke 4 years ago and now spends almost all of his time in bed without use of his left arm and leg. He's otherwise healthy and content, but except for his wife taking him to church on the weekends everyday is just like the one before and after. MY bucket list is to have plenty of things to plan for and do for as long as possible. Just like many others here 3D printing is nagging me to take the plunge despite all the other projects on my list.

I’m kind of proud of myself so far I’ve contained my activities to giving the printer a good scrub down and cleaning man they sure can get dirty. But I also got my body inserts and chassis all painted. :D

Not to go off topic here but I want to tell you slothead that I know first hand what your brother is going through. Because two years ago I had a stroke myself, I will say that it is an illness that keeps on taking , not giving . I am not looking for anything at all, all I am saying is if your brother was anything like I was get him to do things that he loved to do before it happened . That is the biggest reason why I got back into slot cars . I had the HO size when I was younger and was planning on building a set up with the HO , but now I am going to build an 6x8 ft table with a big set up on it and run the hell out of the cars I have . So like I said , if you know what your brother liked doing before his stroke get him to do it , because of what I have lost from my stroke I am going out fighting like there is no tomorrow . And tell your brother there is someone out there that knows what he is going through .
