3D Chassis

Merry Christmas to All 'Yall,
Some time ago there was a thread about an Artin 3D chassis.
The library here in Annapolis has a 3d printer. It is there for the public to use. Needless to say it does not get a lot of action.
Does anyone have program for a Artin like chassis I can obtain?

It's noted in the Thingiverse listing, but be advised that there are two chassis files.
One is for motors with the pinion by the plastic endbell (endbell drive) and the other is for motors with the pinion on the bearing end of the shaft (can drive).

Of course if you have a double shaft motor then it doesn't matter. Lol

Other than the orientation of the motor mount the two versions are identical.

If you print and try it, let me know!

At this time the county is providing the supplies. I'm not sure if you can make multiple projects.
I'm going to check it out Saturday.

Can I just down the file, or do I have to buy it? If I can get it to work It will be worth 1/2 the price.

I have printed Chappyman's Artin chassis, actually a couple of them. they are spot on with one exception. the front body mount is off. its to far forward to mount an original Artin body. As a scratch build chassis, it is perfect. The motor fits snug, the axle bushing area is just right, and the front dual axle mounts are heavy duty.
The front mount could be cut off and epoxied back after shortening I believe.

OK....New files are uploaded. Should be correct now....hopefully it works for folks.

I was just about to post the variant on this chassis. I measured the front mount to be off 4mm. But the guide would interfere with that adjustment. The front axle location could go back 2mm to be perfect. Hope this helps!
