This post should probably be on the 1/32 forum, but its basis is in 3D printing. I wanted to give Chappyman66 a special thank you for not only giving us a replacement Artin chassis, but a much improved, and highly raceable version of that old classic. I have used up more Artin chassis than i can count over the years, and they are getting scarce. They never were meant to be anything special, just a means to hold all the needed components for the set cars. Chappyman66's improved versions offer the same basic , easy to adapt quality's of the original, and add the ability to print either can or bell mounting of the motor, and also a set screw dual front axle mounting system. I just built up a bin car today for testing, and i have to say, i am impressed with the results. I used an old FLY Panoz Esperante body i had, and some Leftover axles from a Scaley digital set car. i also used a Cartrix take out motor that had not been ran, and is rated at 17K. I slapped on a pair of my LMP urethanes on the rear.
After the usual truing and tuning, the car turns very quiet respectable times, equal to my pod chassis, on cars of similar weight and size. 7.850 on an 8. second track. Not to shabby, and im sure i can eek out a tenth or two more. All that rambling aside. Thank You Paul, for your improved design, and for the STL. File allowing us to have endless Artin style chassis'!
