Newbie here! Just had a machine delivered and cannot wait to get started :)

Creality Ender 3 Pro

What a great forum. You guys are tops! Whoever thought of this was a genius! (ahem)

Anyway...



I did not plan this one. I had this delivered as a GIFT and needless to say I was speechless. Had not thought about actually joining in this, but NOW?



After Steve helped me set this up, we printed some MODS for it. One of them was this neat tool holder that has all the tools in the box neatly up top.

Steve (Gameover) really helped. I mean REALLY helped. My view is that these machines remind me if sewing machines. "They" naturally assume you KNOW about the craft when you get one.

It is a very nice machine of course. The included instructions? Just toss those and Youtube it. I followed the videos and at least had it up and ready.
But it took some tuning. You can adjust the wheel rollers, THAT is important! I think we need a video on that alone.



And this one that helps route the PLA.



So we are ready to rock and roll :)

Thank you to the folks that sent this in. Just too much of a gift. What a hoot.

This is FUN watching this thing print. I now understand the attraction.

Well done Harry, and kudos to whomever did that for you.

Can't agree more on some of your comments - throw the factory instructions away - they are inaccurate and incomplete - and adjust the bearing wheels - use YouTube for some great videos on setup.

One thing I will add... bed levelling is the best thing you can do if you are experiencing adhesion or general printing issues.

Rats. This isn't like all that digital stuff I couldn't care less about. I don't mind being behind on any of that. But this is really useful. Now I have to scrape up the money to get in this and learn along with everybody else before its too late.

More to the point, If it hasn't been done already, we need to get a primer together on the Index for getting going in this stuff and you guys who are lucky enough to be doing this already need to start making lists of what to include on the topic. Seriously, do it before it slips your mind how it was when you started.

Oh yeah. All you guys who did this for Harry... nice one. I'm proud of you. Inspirational.

Even if he did do a newbie imitation to start this thread. What a cornball.

Rob, I was going to PM you but I will say it here: Don't wait. Get one. This is FUN learning a new art. And it will only improve over time.

In 2 years, if not already for the more advanced, we won't have to wish for that certain slot car to be released.

We will just print it ourselves. Then visit our favorite parts store and get all the gear to finish it.

With more and more talented slot car artists getting these machines and learning the craft, there will be almost no limit.

Was so fun to see harry’s face while getting this running. We printed a few mods and had a hell of a time gettj g he rillers adjusted but once that was done she was all set up. The mods are endless in these and so is the fun!

Harry, you got my attention. I'm starting my process now. After IRS, insurance on the properties, and a possible sale of the extra house, this is on the list for immediate acquisition. But I may have to make a few PM calls to get support, if I don't get this the first time, eh?
